Thursday, nearly the weekend, beautiful weather all week and it looks as if it’s going to be kind to us for the weekend.

Today’s musical treat is an extended DJ Set from Visionquest, a new breed of DJ’s & producers made up of the very talented; Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves & Lee Curtis.

Together, the quartet have released tracks on leading labels like Crosstown Rebels, Spectral Sound, Get Physical, Circus Company, Supplement Facts, Wolf+Lamb, Wagon Repair and Minus.
As a collective and on their own, the DJ/Producers have spun all over the dance globe, rocking the dancefloors at Fabric (London), Watergate (Berlin), Cityfox (Zurich), Tenax (Florence), Fiesta Privada (Rome), Cocoon (Frankfurt) and Circoloco@Dc10 (Ibiza) as well as holding their weekly ‘Soulshower’ residency at Club Der Visonaere in Berlin.

It’s a 3 hour ride but have no fear, it’s Deep, Dark and Housey & we have had it on loud in the Habit office all morning. Well worth a listen!

The Back Catalogue 002

Welcome to the second in a new series from Habit – The Back Catalogue.

In this series the Habit residents will upload a mix they’ve recoreded in the past. The mix will be available for streaming and download for one week only when the next mix will be uploaded.

This edition, James Roberts, 1 third of Habit’s PJR Project, takes to the turntables to supply the Chicago house mix from early 2011.

Friday’s Mix

Friday, the weekend & a mix to get you in the mood for this Saturday’s forthcoming Habit shindig at the Bulls Head.

Its a tasty little ditty by the brilliant Art Department.

Art Department is the brainchild of Canadian techno/house Legend Kenny Glasgow and Canada’s fastest rising star and No.19 label owner – Jonny White.

Part of the Crosstown Rebels label, the duo are regarded as one of the scenes most forward thinking, revolutionary underground producers.

The mix is taken from the Ministry Of Sound earlier this month and its a recent DJ set that needs turning up!

How good was our 5th Birthday? Too good that’s how… A massive thank you to all who came and made it such an amazingly memorable night.. We had a blast.

This month we welcome back local boys Will Gennard and Danny Brooks, regulars on the Habit dancefloor and now becoming regulars in the DJ booth too. These boys love their quality deep house and will be sure to get the place rocking.

Joining the boys will be ever present residents The PJR Project, plus Stevie T will kick off the night with some eclectic soul/funk/disco treats.
